People and skills have been identified as significant issues for the transport sector. The UK government forecast a shortfall of skills in transport infrastructure of 55,000 by 2020. As such, we are developing this workstream to explore how challenges around recruitment, retention and skills can be addressed. We held a seminar in July 2016 to explore some of these issues and we have collated a resource on national initiatives for skills and diversity.
