pteg today welcomed the Local Transport Act (which received Royal Assent today) as a historic opportunity for the city regions on transport.
Chairman of West Midlands Passenger Transport Authority, Cllr Gary Clarke, is the new Chair of the Passenger Transport Authority Special Interest Group. The group brings together leading Councillors from the six English Passenger Transport Authorities.

TRANSPORT Secretary Ruth Kelly today joined the family of Barbara Castle to help name a Northern Rail train after the late Labour MP and first woman Transport Minister.
Jonathan Bray has been appointed as new Director of the pteg Support Unit. He will take up the post when the current Director, Tim Larner, steps down at the end of November. Jonathan Bray is currently the Assistant Director of the Unit.
