Anne Shaw OBE, Executive Director of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) and Vice-Chair of the Urban Transport Group, is to leave her current position at TfWM to become CEO of the National Transport Authority (NTA) in Ireland.

Responding to the news, Steve Warrener, Chair of the Urban Transport Group, said:

“Anne has made an outstanding contribution to local transport. She leaves a lasting legacy not only across the West Midlands, but also across the whole transport sector, including her groundbreaking work on how to tackle violence against women and girls on transport.

“It has been a pleasure to work with Anne in her capacity as Vice-Chair of UTG and I wish her every success in her new role.”

Anne will attend her final UTG Board Meeting in Sheffield next month, before leaving TfWM and starting her new role at NTA in November.
