Mass Transit Taskforce hits the road with UK roundtables
The Mass Transit Taskforce is hitting the road from next week with a series of roundtables taking place across all four nations of the UK throughout September and October.
The Taskforce, which was established by the Government in May to explore how to tackle barriers to the quick and efficient delivery of mass transit systems, will be hosting the roundtables, as well as associated site visits to mass transit schemes, to gather further evidence and insights to inform its work.
The roundtables will hear from expert stakeholders from a range of sectors involved in the delivery of mass transit schemes, from transport through to engineering, construction and utilities.
This next stage of the Taskforce’s work will follow the call for evidence, which closes for submissions on Monday 7 September.
The UK roundtables are taking place on the following dates:
- Cardiff – Tuesday 8 September
- London – Wednesday 9 September
- Leeds – Wednesday 16 September
- Birmingham – Thursday 17 September
- Belfast – Tuesday 22 September
- Glasgow – Tuesday 6 October.
Additionally, two international roundtables and site visits will take place on the following dates:
- Dublin, Ireland – Wednesday 23 September
- Angers, France – Monday 12 October.
Attendance at the roundtables is by invitation only.
