A lunchtime conversation with Oliver Coppard, Mayor of South Yorkshire

Since becoming Mayor in May 2022, Oliver Coppard has focused on restoring the pride, purpose and prosperity of South Yorkshire. On transport, he has worked to raise the issue of fairer funding for bus services, appointed triple Olympic cycling champion Ed Clancy OBE as Active Travel Commissioner to improve the region’s walking and cycling networks, and highlighted the need for improved rail connections between northern cities. 2024 will be a big year for the Mayor, with the iconic Supertram network being brought into public ownership and the continued assessment on bus franchising for the region.

Join the Mayor for a special lunchtime conversation where he’ll discuss his vision for transport in South Yorkshire.

Louisa Harrison-Walker, Chief Executive of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, will be interviewing the Mayor.
